Touch-Up Tuesday - Dixie
Tuesday, February 8, 2011
I posted this picture yesterday of my friend's dog, Dixie, and I thought I'd talk about how I edited it for Touch-Up Tuesday. And, ok, my before picture isn't completely SOOC, because I have a bad habit of saving over my original picture when I edit. But all I did to it was run Pioneer Woman's Boost action and lower the opacity of it.
Then I ran Pioneer Woman's Black and White Beauty Action to convert the photo to Black and White. I added a little contrast because that action made it pretty pale. Then I took this texture that I found free somewhere on Flickr:
I desaturated the photo and added it to my picture. I ended up using the multiply blending mode because the texture was SO white in the center that the other modes I usually used totally washed the photo out. So I used multiply and then used my white paint brush to lighten the areas in the middle back up. And that gave me this!
And just for fun, and because its almost Valentine's Day, and because I took so many dog pictures this weekend I don't know what to do with them all....

Have a great day! :)
