Touch-Up Tuesday - Kristin and Mike

So I didn't take any new pictures this week (except for my cupcakes I shot yesterday!) so I started looking through some very old pictures.  I came across this shot that I took of my dear friends Kristin and Mike, when they first got engaged.  This is with my old DSLR before I really knew how to use it, before I knew about light, before I really knew about exposure, and definitely before I knew how to edit any picture in photoshop. But now that I at least know a LITTLE bit about photo editing, I wondered if I could save any shots from this shoot.

Here is a shot I liked, SOOC.  See how the sun was behind them? And their faces are in shadows? And how the background isn't softly blurred like I would do today? Yeah, I didn't know what I was doing.  Sorry, Kristin and Mike! I can do better now :)



MCP offered a free action download on facebook today called the Mini Fusion Action. I downloaded it right away (I LOVE free actions!) and tested it out on this photo. I ran the action, cropped the photo, added a little vignetting and I got this.



Already an improvement! Then, just for fun, I ran Pioneer Woman's Seventies Action and added a little texture, to try to get that old faded beach postcard kinda look. And that gave me this:



I like it that way too. It was such a sweet moment. I love how actions can help save poorly exposed photos!
