Good to Wow - Shadows
Monday, August 22, 2011
The theme for Jill and Ashley's Good to Wow Challenge this week is Shadows.
I happened to do a little mini portrait session with my good friend Lindsay the other day. I've been dying to take pictures of her for a while now, because, as you can see, she is absolutely gorgeous! These were a couple shots that I wasn't so sure about because of the harsh shadows across her face. We shot these in the height of the "golden hour" as you can see by the warm glow on her face, but it caused some harsh shadows at certain angles...but for some reason I don't really mind the shadows--I sorta like the drama they add.
These are completely Straight Out Of Camera!
More from this session soon!

Girl - you have raw talent - love it!
Um, yeah. You rock. She's beautiful. :)
Seriously, though, I do think you're rocking your portraits and think you have some awesome friends to help you out, plus get some awesome pics of themselves in the process!!
These are beautiful sooc -- and I can totally see that last one as a high key b&w. :)
I love the harsh shadows on her face!! Great SOOC photos!!
Yes High Key indeed
The lighting is just stunning! I think the shadows add a dimension and richness to the photo. Your subject is beautiful, her clothing color combination stands out and the overall effect is lovely. What impressive and gorgeous SOOC photos! Thank you for sharing!
Everything is beautiful about these shots - your friend, the lighting, the composition... Great job!
