7 Links

 Saturday, September 17, 2011

I saw this idea at Baked Bree, my favorite recipe blog, and thought it seemed like a fun idea.  You go back back through all your post and find the one to fit each category.  I think its a good exercise to help you see which posts are working and which ones aren't.  If you try this yourself, please let me know in the comments so I can go check it out!

This idea was started by Tripbase and the idea is this:

“The idea is simple: bloggers publish 7 links from their blog to share lessons learned and create a bank of long but not forgotten blog posts that deserve to see the light of day again.”

1. My Most Beautiful Post - Dreamy Portraits with Lindsay Crolius

What could be more beautiful than the lovely Lindsay? Having such a lovely model made this choice easy!

2. My Most Popular Post - Sunset Silhouettes

I think I got more comments on this post than anything I've posted.  I've also seen this picture frequently "pinned" on Pinterest! (Speaking of which, if you're on Pinterest, you can follow me here)

Santa Monica Beach at Sunset

3. My Most Controversial Post - Funny Faces

Ok, I don't think ANY of my posts are controversial, but I picked this one because it was funny, and it instead of typical portraits they were just pictures that make me laugh...and because the people featured in them might be less than thrilled about these pictures being posted!

Snorkel Time!

I got a lot of positive feedback about this "how to" and it's one of my favorite things to shoot!

5. Post Whose Success Surprised Me - Fireworks

This was my first time ever shooting fireworks and I got some of my highest page views and comments on it!

Burbank Firework Show

6. Post That Didn't Get the Attention it Deserved - City Tour: Hollywood Blvd

This was my first time shooting night city shots and I really liked how some of them came out, but it didn't get very many page views.

7. Post I'm Most Proud Of Food Photography - 1st Attempt

This was my first time trying to shoot food photography and I was really proud of the results!

Please let me know in the comments if you try a 7 Links post!

Thank you so much for sharing this at The Creative Exchange.

Have a wonderful day!

That last shot looks like it's straight out of a magazine or cookbook shoot! Really nice work!
