Photo Tip Tuesday - Week One
Monday, October 10, 2011
Welcome to Photo Tip Tuesday! I've been wanting for a while to start my own link up and have been toying around for a while with how I wanted to do it. In the end I decided that the thing I love most about blogs is how much I've learned from them. I've learned so much about photography and editing from reading blogs and I know other people love to learn tips and tricks as well.
So the idea behind Photo Tip Tuesday is simple. Link up with as many pictures in your post as you would like and then share some sort of tip about how you took them or how you edited them. It can be anything from a tutorial to simply sharing what lens you used or what your settings were or what actions you used to edit it.
The link up will be open until Thursday night, and then at some point during the weekend I will post a list of Favorites. It might be my favorite picture, or my favorite tip. That way we can all check them out and learn something new.
So first, some pictures. I took these to practice my food photography. They are really simple to make--dried apricots, with a scoop of goat cheese, a drizzle of honey, and a mint leaf on top. And they are incredibly flavorful! I made these for a party and ended up having a plate of them for lunch the next day! Of course when I make them for myself, they aren't quite so pretty--honey squeezed all over the plate, and mint leaves torn to size instead of fitting so perfectly!
And for my Photo Tip: a pull back shot. I pulled my dining table closer to the window to get more window light and propped up a reflector to decrease shadows.
