Scavenger Hunt Sunday - Maui Style

 Saturday, October 1, 2011

So I finally added some fun social media buttons to my blog! Care to follow me on Facebook, Pinterest, or Flickr? Click on the buttons to the right! :)

Also, I've been meaning to mention--My good friend Meghan, of Meghan Bob Photography, launched an online photography and design magazine with her photography mentor and partner, Grey Crawford.   Their magazine is called Toujours and you should definitely check it out! Also, click "expand" and check out Page 7--I took the photo of Meghan and Grey for the contributors page and they gave me photo credit! I think this technically means I've now been published! Please go take a look! :)

Anyways...I've been having fun picking shots from my trip to Maui to use for Scavenger Hunt Sunday! Here are my interpretations of this week's themes.

1. Inspired by a Book or Movie
Actually, this picture reminded me of the TV Show, "Lost" most of all! But it also sorta gave me a Robinson Caruso feel--or basically any deserted island movie!

2, Brown
This guy started swimming around while we were snorkeling, and at first we didn't see him because his brown shell blended in with all the rocks, but then his little head popped up and we noticed the huge turtle swimming at our feet!

sea turtle!

3.  Hazy
I didn't have any super hazy shots from Maui, but the sun into the lens did cause just a tiny bit of haze in this shot.

4. Coffee or Tea
Ok, this clearly isn't coffee or tea.  But the more I drank of them, the more coffee I was going to need later :)

5. Linger
We went on a hike to a waterfall in Hana and when we were done, we definitely wanted to linger for a while at this fruit stand.  Its known for having some of the best fresh fruit, smoothies, and banana bread on the island!

Wow your Lost photo is beautiful, of course so is the hazy shot. I also think Gilligan's Island fits well. Of course, I used to watch that, never have seen Lost. That glass for your coffee or tea shot is very interesting. What a wonderful place to vacation.
