Fruit in Bubbles Take 2 - Grapefruit
Sunday, March 11, 2012
Ever since I posted my Fruit in Bubbles shots of the lime and cherry I've been wanting to try it again with some different fruits and backgrounds. I think they'd be fun prints for kitchens and so they'd be fun to have in different colors. So I picked up a kiwi and grapefruit and some different color scrapbook papers and tried it again. For some reason I wasn't thrilled with any of the kiwi shots. I may go through and look at them again but I just couldn't get the same details that I could in the grapefruit.
So here are my favorite grapefruit shots with different color scrapbook pages in the background. In hindsight, it sorta looks like I just digitally changed the background colors (and I probably should just do that next time to create more options!) but in actuality I just hung different colored pieces of paper behind my glass vase of soda water. I've always wanted to try this...wonderful images.
Thank you for the set up tutorial
These are very striking shots.
Awesome! So fresh and effervescent!
What gorgeous shots! And you're right. Maybe an outdoor background (they blur into bokeh right?) would look more natural or white/gray paper? But I think you nailed it right!
Looks so very colorful and interesting! ...even downright tasty! :-)
Looks fantastic! :-)
I love the universe of macro photography, it makes everyday things look magical !
These shots are absolutely awesome!
Oh you should be selling these photos for lots and lots of money! They are brilliant!
Jaymi, these are really wonderful, and I think they would be fantastic in a kitchen! Each is so nicely composed.
