Portrait Session with Jillian and Justin

Hope you all had a great St. Patrick's Day! I'm just about done editing my session of 3-year-old Jillian and her 10-month-old brother, Justin. I had so much fun shooting these two! Jillian is such a ball of energy and Justin is such a calm happy baby. They were really fun to work with, and it being my second time shooting with kids about this age, I was a little more confident going into it, and now I feel a little more at ease about the idea of shooting little ones!
I love this last picture of Justin so much! And the ones of Jillian in the tree...and of her jumping. :)

I used a single point focal point, and I focused on the girl while she was standing, and pressed the shutter half way. Then I told her to jump and pushed the shutter the rest of the way to complete the shot. I also used continuous shooting mode, and held down the shutter for a few shots. It was a bright day, so at f/4 my shutter was really fast--1/1000 second, which helped get sharp focus. Good luck!
