Scavenger Hunt Sunday - Peruvian Style

 Sunday, June 17, 2012

It's been a little while since I've participated in a Scavenger Hunt Sunday, and since I have SO many pics from my trip to Peru that I want to share, I thought I'd use some for this week's challenge.

Click HERE to see more pics from my trip!!

1. Meet Me At The Corner - One thing the Incans did well was terracing--they were masters at it.  Each level and each corner is designed to get a different amount of sunlight and water to grow different crops.

Chinchero

2.  Mother Nature Meets Technology - Me taking a picture of my boyfriend taking a picture! Conveniently, he shoots Nikon as well, so we spent a lot of time taking pictures on this trip, and stopping to switch to each other's lenses!

Take a Picture

3. One Step at a Time - Ok, I couldn't resist putting this picture in, taken by my boyfriend.  This was on a hike we went on at Machu Picchu, up the mountain called Huayna Picchu. There were so many stairs, and at times it was near vertical! I'm not super athletic, so I had to take a lot of breaks on this hike!

Stairs!

4. Standing Tall - This was almost to the top of the mountain on our hike.  I took this of my boyfriend to show some perspective on exactly how high up we were!

Don't Fall!

5. What's Wrong with this Picture  - I took this in a market in Cusco.  I chose this for this theme because I have no idea what the fruit is on the right!

Fruit Stand

That's all for now! Come back Tuesday for my Tips & Pics link up!

Each of your photos is wonderful! Your trip to Peru must have been marvellous. The fruit in the last look to be withered Panama Passionfruit to me, they have a thick yellow skin when fresh.

The pictures are just fantastic! It looks like a breathtaking trip and I'm in the planning stages of taking a trip just for shooting purposes! This will just be a trip for my Nikon and me!

I love the photo of you hiking up the wall with the camera hanging around your neck. I would of had to take a lot of breaks too:)
