Martin Family Mini Session

A couple weeks ago I went out to see my friends Megan and Dave to help them celebrate their daughter Madyson's 10th birthday! And she looked so cute in her little pink outfit that I just had to grab a couple shots of her.  So I pulled the fam aside during the party and I looked desperately for some decent shade to hide from the bright sun to grab a few shots of this adorable little family.  I literally spent about 10 minutes grabbing some shots real quick of them, so this was a super MINI session!!




Btw, notice from the jump shots at the end that there is bright full sun in their backyard.  These were shot in early afternoon, which is just about the worst time for light there is.  To get these shots (except for the jump shots where I cared about the light less) I had them lean up against their tool shed in the backyard where there was a tiny amount of solid open shade.  This helped me get nice even light for the portraits.  You can take portraits any time of day, as long as you can find some nice open shade!
