Ok, so I wanted to share a few more pics from my recent vacation.  The first week my boyfriend and I stayed at a house his family owns on Salt Spring Island, which is off of Vancouver in the Gulf Islands.  It was so beautiful and peaceful!
I love how the light is streaming through the trees here.

Salt Spring Island

There was a beautiful lavender farm on the island!

And this was a view from the road that we took from the ferry to get to the house showing some of the other islands in the distance.

This was some of the forest around the house.

This was the view from the back of the house at sunset.

And this was the view from the house during the day.

The shoreline was covered with purple starfish!

Oh and someone asked me what I used to hold my gear when I travel. I use the Lowepro Fastpack 350 which perfectly holds and protects my camera, a couple lenses, my laptop, and has lots of pockets for memory cards, cords, and an open section on top that can fit a couple books or snacks. I got it for my trip to Peru and it's been a wonderful travel bag for me!  Stay tuned for more pics from this trip!

Peaceful and gorgeous! My favorite is the path through the tall trees with sunlight pouring down. You must feel refreshed in spirit when you spend time in this beautiful area!

That starfish image is unreal. Love it! So is Salt Spring Island close to the San Juans in Washington? Looks like it.
And I love my Lowepro bag. So glad I upgraded before our last trip to Asia. - Keryn @ Walkingon Travels

Oh my goodness Jaymi! I love that light forcing itself through the trees in that first shot. A lavender farm? Holy cow. That photo is fantastic, they all are. I really, really love that starfish photo, maybe it is because with your post I totally picture myself there. You did such a great job transporting me. Beautiful, beautiful photos.

How on earth do you get the light ray to show up so clearly in your first photo? That's something I've been trying to accomplish for years! It always gets lost! Great photos :)
