Tarvin Family Christmas Session
Tuesday, November 27, 2012
The lovely Tarvin family asked me once again to come pay them a visit and take some Christmas themed portraits of them for their Christmas cards. Click HERE to see the pics I did for them last year.
Little James has hit that age that is really difficult to shoot--he loves to run but isn't quite at the point where he can or will listen to any direction! Because of this the parents really wanted to just shoot in their backyard, which added additional challenges for me.
I found it difficult to shoot in a backyard and keep my photos from looking too "snapshot-y." Not to mention posing of any kind was out of the question for this little boy! Still, I managed to get a few shots I was happy with.

These next two are my favorites!

For this last shot, I enjoyed having a little fun with the image and creating a surreal look by adding little light flares throughout the tree.
I'm sorry I've been such a bad blogger as of late. If you've been following, you know I had a major career change a few months ago. The schedule of my new job is quite demanding and I've been having a hard time adjusting. I miss having time to blog as much as I used to, but its still a priority for me, and something I want to get back to doing more often!

These are precious!! Love his little sweater!
Love the B&W one and your 2 faves. It is so nerve racking to go into toddler sessions, knowing that you don't control the session, they do! And I definitely hear you on the "snapshots" dilemma
Gorgeous family photos, beauty and happiness.
Greetings.
Absolutely beautiful family & captures... I LOVE the b&w of LiL James, he's such a cutie, but that b&w is outstanding!
Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit, hope to see ya back soon =)
