I have been enjoying a rare and amazing week off from my hectic schedule. The boyfriend and I decided to take a little road through Paso Robles and Morro Bay (about 3 hours from where we live in LA.)
I did a little experimenting with HDR while in Morro Bay. Each of these images are actually 5 images of different exposures composited through Photomatix then touched up in Photoshop.
I think this one's my favorite. I love the deep depth of field and the sunlight on the flowers in the foreground.
This one had a little too much "halo" effect for my taste. Anyone know how to get rid of that? I tried just burning it but it didn't look right. I like the pic anyway, especially the couple in the distance taking a self portrait :)
I love the details in the rock...
That night we drove a little inland to see the amazing stars. This next pic isn't HDR. It is one photo taken on a tripod with a 30 second exposure at f/3.5 and ISO 1600. I ran some noise reduction in Lightroom to help with the noise from the high ISO.
I loved this star shot. Definitely want to try more of those soon!!!
